Tax info for Summer Pods

Summer Pods run as a day camp, so many families can claim the cost toward the federal Child and Dependent Care Credit or pay with a Dependent Care FSA. Tell us what you need and we'll send it.

Request your tax documents

Got it. We'll email your documents, usually within a few days. If your preparer needs anything else, just reply to that email.

We'll email everything to the address above. Nothing is sent to the IRS or your FSA; you'll pass the documents along yourself.

How it works

Who qualifies

Children under 13

The camp has to let you (and your spouse, if married) work or look for work. Day camps count, including half-day and sports camps. Overnight camps don't.

Federal credit

Form 2441

For 2026 the credit covers up to 50% of qualifying costs, phasing down to 20% at higher incomes, on up to $3,000 for one child or $6,000 for two or more. Minnesota adds its own dependent care credit on top.

Dependent Care FSA

Up to $7,500 for 2026

Pay for camp with pre-tax dollars through your employer's plan. Most plans want a receipt with the provider's Tax ID, the child's name, dates and amount, which is what we'll send.

We're hockey coaches, not tax advisors. We'll give you the paperwork; whether and how much you can claim depends on your situation.
